Home to the magnificent Canadian Rockies. These tremendous peaks are a sight to behold, and an even better site to ski. Banff National Park is famous for its glacially cut peaks that jut into the sky, and home to resorts like Sunshine, Lake Louise and Marmot Basin in nearby Jasper. British Columbia is home to heli-skiing and the Powder Highway of Panorama, Kimberley, Fernie and Kicking Horse, plus the coastal mountain range of Whistler which was chosen to host the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The ski resorts in the Canadian Rockies are some of the biggest and arguably the best in the world. And the accoutrements of fine lodges, dining and off slope entertainment in Western Canada are world class too.
